There’s something rotten in the pharmaceutical world, beyond drug companies making oodles of money by charging outrageous prices. People are dying from counterfeit medications, but they don't know it's the medication and not the disease that's killing them. 

When a young boy needlessly dies, Morgan and Jesse are on the case launching an investigation of several well-known pharmaceuticals making their way into the hands of unsuspecting patients. They’re shocked to learn how dangerously dependent the US has become on China for the active ingredients in popular drugs. They’re determined to expose the epidemic of contaminated medicines flooding the marketplace from unregulated labs by drug companies chasing profits regardless of costs.

And when they learn that tainted insulin has hurt a local child in Williamsburg, Jesse and Morgan team up with Detective Adam Knight, Daniel and Moss to root out a local drug ring placing profits above lives.
